Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Seeks the Public’s Help Regarding Stolen Vehicle Investigation

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help today regarding an investigation into a vehicle that was stolen from the parking lot of a convenience store back in May of this year.

The Sheriff’s Office is also seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual in relation to the stolen vehicle.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division responded to the Bountyland Quik Stop location on Blue Ridge Boulevard in the Bountyland Community during the late evening hours of May 18th and spoke with the victim, who told the deputy that he left his vehicle running with the key in the ignition while going into the store to make a purchase. When the customer came back out to the parking lot, his vehicle, a white Buick LeSabre, was gone.

The next day, the vehicle was located abandoned and towed from the parking lot of a business on Highway 11 near Highway 28, which is in West Union.
