SC State Parks Requiring Masks

According to an overnight announcement made on social media, South Carolina state parks are requiring visitors to wear face masks in their facilities effective immediately. The requirement is for all visitors over the age of two in buildings staffed by employees, or where the general public may congregate, according to the Facebook post. That includes park offices, visitor centers, stores, nature centers, restrooms or while touring any indoor facility being considered for rent. State park officials recommend anyone renting cabins, camp sites or picnic shelters use CDC and DHEC guidelines regarding social distancing and for wearing masks. Visitors who do not have a mask will be asked to remain outside of facilities, to be assisted by park employees, if possible.
