Mask Ordinance for Oconee County Government Buildings & Facilities Extended

Oconee County has extended its emergency rule to require those who visit and work inside county offices and facilities to wear facial coverings. The county council approved the extension Tuesday night after its attorney, David Root, discovered that the emergency ordinance would have lapsed prior to the next meeting. Root stressed that this rule does not amount to a countywide mask law—just to the county’s government offices and buildings.
