Motorcycle Fatality in OC

A 33-year-old Kansas man was discovered dead at approximately 1pm Saturday afternoon at the scene of a motorcycle collision on SC 130 near Salem.  This collision is believed to have occurred late Friday night and the man was found dead by a female friend and her son during a search for him after he failed to arrive to meet friends and attempts to reach him during the night and early Saturday morning were unsuccessful.  Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis identified the man as 33-year-old Frank Travis Yoho of LeRoy, Kansas.  He was the operator of a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle. It appears he was traveling north on SC 130 when his motorcycle ran off the right side of the road in a curve and struck a pine tree.  He died at the scene from blunt force trauma to the head and neck.  He was not wearing a helmet.  Yoho was working with a construction company at the Michelin site in Anderson County.  A post mortem exam will be ordered to assist with documenting his injuries; specimens will be submitted to SLED in accordance with state law for toxicology.   This is the first traffic fatality in Oconee County in 2013.
