Three Arrested, One Wanted for Seneca Car Break-Ins

Seneca Police Chief Casey Bowling said that detectives from his department recently arrested three suspects in a rash of car break-ins that were reported in the city over several weeks between June and July.

Chief Bowling said the thefts involved more than two dozen victims, with an estimated $15,000 worth of property stolen. He added that it was mostly items such as firearms and money that were taken in the sporadic incidents.

Darion Antonio Evett

So far, the three men arrested in connection with the case were 22 year-old Darion Antonio Evett, charged with 16 counts of breaking into autos, eight counts of petit larceny, and one count of receiving stolen goods. His bond was set at $130,000. Evett was arrested August 4th by Seneca Police and he remains in jail at this time.

Genesis Jamael Campbell

Genesis Jamael Campbell, age 20,was arrested July 28th by Seneca Police and is facing 15 counts of breaking into autos, eleven counts of petit larceny, and one count each of damaging a vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. He is being held at the Oconee County Detention Center on $118,000 bond.

Kentavious Shorter

Yesterday, Seneca Police arrested 21 year-old Kentavius Shorter on seven counts each of breaking into autos and petit larceny. He is awaiting bond at this time.

The fourth suspect sought after in connection with that investigation was identified by police as 19 year-old Steve Anthony Alexander III, wanted on multiple counts of breaking into autos and petit larceny.
