Pardon and Expungement Seminar on Friday

Sister station WGOG reports that a seminar scheduled for Friday benefits those with criminal records who wish to gain employment but need a clean record to do so. The 3:30pm Pardon and Expungement Seminar by the South Carolina Probation, Parole and Pardon Office, with help from Tri-County Technical College, has registered 16 to attend. However, Greg Stewart, director of Oconee County Probation, Parole and Pardons, says others who would like to attend a future seminar should call Sandra Strickland at Tri-County Technical College at 864-646-1732. “We’re primarily trying to educate the public because the job environment out there is so tough. To be licensed or bonded, you may need to seek one of these two programs if you have a prior criminal record,” Stewart said.
