OC Sheriff’s Office announces Donation of DOK Kits

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has announced the donation of 20 DOK kits to the Sheriff’s Office by Tactical Medical Solutions, Inc. of Anderson.  The Sheriff’s Office will be holding a fundraiser, called Turn A Kit For A Cop, along with sponsors Land and Lake Realty, The Gazebo Restaurant, and Phantom Fireworks on Saturday from 4-7pm in the parking lot of the Gazebo Restaurant at exit 1, Highway 11, just off I-85 in Fair Play.  The fundraiser will include the sale of B-BBQ plates for $8, a cake walk and cake sale, door prizes and giveaways, plus demonstrations and equipment from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.  Diamond T Promotions of Fair Play will also have Fair Plat T-Shirts for sale, with some of the proceeds from the t-shirt sales going towards the purchase of the kits. The goal of the fundraiser was to raise $3,500 to purchase DOK Kits, which contain compression bandages and tourniquets, for every certified deputy in the Sheriff’s Office. “While partnering with great sponsors such as Land and Lake Realty, The Gazebo Restaurant, and Phantom Fireworks to make the DOK kits possible, Tactical Medical Solutions has been right there with us all the way,” says Jeff Underwood, Captain of the Uniform Patrol Division of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.  “Today, while speaking with the Sales Rep Mark Fridley, he gave me the wonderful news that Ross Johnson, founder of TMS and based out of Anderson, SC, has decided to donate 20 of the kits to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. This makes reaching our goal significantly easier, and is a gracious and generous donation from a wonderful company. Many thanks to Mr. Johnson, Mr. Fridley and the entire staff at TMS, and we look forward to doing more business with them in the future.” Captain Underwood also says that Tactical Medical Solutions, Inc. will have DOK kits at the fundraiser tomorrow in Fair Play.
