Veterans Appreciation Family Night at Gignilliat Field

Grab your families and your lawn chairs and come have fun at Seneca’s Gignilliat Field on Tuesday night as the Golden Corner honors our veterans during Veterans’ Appreciation Family Night.  This event recognizes the service and contributions of all veterans of our area, and from all wars and conflicts. The public is invited to attend to meet the Marines and enjoy food, music, and fireworks. The event starts with BBQ at 6pm. There is a charge for BBQ meals but all other entertainment is free, explains Seneca City Councilman Scott Durham.  “You can get tickets at Seneca City Hall or the Shaver Recreation Center.  $5 for each ticket or four tickets for $15.  We have 16 oz. beer for $4.  There are free inflatables and fireworks.  The concert is going to be great with Soul Feathers performing.  I invite everyone to come out and enjoy this.  Let’s salute all of these ladies and gentlemen that have served this country.” Seneca City Councilman Joel Ward is hoping for a big crowd at Gignilliat Field by 7pm when the Marines, visiting from Camp Lejeune, NC, as well as a group from the Marine Corps Upstate Wounded Warrior Regiment are scheduled to arrive.  “On Tuesday night, please come out, you will love this event.” Once again, Veterans’ Appreciation Family Night at Seneca’s Gignilliat Field is Tuesday night beginning with BBQ at 6pm and festivities around 7pm.
