Veterans to tour CU today

Three days of rest and relaxation on Lake Keowee come to an end today for a group from The Wounded Warriors Program, but they leave with one last special treat, a tour of Clemson University’s campus and its football stadium. The tour is scheduled to start at the Scroll of Honor memorial site, which honors the school’s 482 alumni who were killed from World War I through the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.  The soldiers will then get to see the recently damaged Howard’s Rock and walk down the Hill. They will also tour the progress of the West End Zone improvements and get to try out the Tigers’ strength-training equipment.  The Wounded Warrior Project works to raise awareness and bring aid to wounded veterans.
