OC Sheriff’s Office names New Litter Officer

Oconee County has a new man aimed at keeping the Golden Corner shinning bright.  Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw recently appointed Corporal Tim Rice to the position of environmental services officer.   The deputy sheriff plans to use prison labor to help tackle the county’s litter problem.   In the announcement, Sheriff Crenshaw stated, “The Sheriff’s Office is committed to having every deputy on alert for litter violations. We realize that litter remains a problem in our county.”
