Dixie Boys World Series delayed by Lightening

Rain and lightening postponed last night’s Dixie Boys World Series games in Seneca.  Just as the first game between Georgia and North Carolina concluded, lightening rolled in and ended baseball for the day, explains Seneca Recreation Director Rick Lacey.  “Lightening delayed the start of the second game. Dixie rules state that you have to wait 30 minutes after a lightening strike, so we got one in yesterday.  We are going to play today at 10am, 3pm, and 8pm.  We hope to finish the tournament today, weather permitting.” At 10am today, Mississippi plays Florida at the Shaver Recreation Complex in Seneca.
