Three arrested in Fiber Optics Theft

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reports three arrests have been made in the case of stolen fiber optics equipment.  The Sheriff’s Office announces that 44-year-old James Gus Orr Jr., 44-year-old Tammy Renee Cobb and 45-year-old Robert Earl Heaton, all from Seneca, were arrested in the theft investigation of $30,000 worth of tools and fiber optic equipment near Seneca.  The three suspects were each charged with receiving stolen goods.  The theft in June from Jet Commercial on Wells Highway in Seneca remains under investigation.  Network Controls out of Greer, a company involved in Oconee County’s Broadband FOCUS project is listed as the crime victim.
