100 graduate from Leadership Development Program

Oconee County Emergency Services graduated 100 persons from its second annual Leadership Development Program. Participants from Oconee, Pickens, Anderson, Greenville and Greenwood counties participated in the two-day seminar concentrating on developing leadership skills and public relations. The majority of the seminar centered around two programs from retired Fire Chief Rick Lasky of the Lewisville, Texas Fire Department. The program was conducted in the Seneca High School Auditorium. This seminar gives participants the skills needed to develop and lead teams both on the fire ground and in the station. This program is designed to look at the leadership traits of the successful and not so successful fire service leader, essentially what works and what does not. Oconee County Emergency Services is proud of these individuals and their commitment to making our community safer, both in the street and behind the scenes.
