Additional Arrest Announced in Ongoing Oconee County Drug Roundup
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday an additional arrest in its drug roundup operation that began on October 1, 2025, during which deputies obtained 35 arrest warrants for 23 individuals; as of that day, 20 people had been arrested. The latest arrest involves 43-year-old Joe Navarro III of Westminster, who faces two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine and two counts of distribution of methamphetamine. Navarro was transferred on Tuesday from the Kershaw Correctional Institution to the Oconee County Detention Center, where he was booked around 5:55 p.m. and served his warrants; he remains in custody on a combined $200,000 surety bond.
