Additional Arrest made in Operation Infinity Drug Sweep

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announces an additional arrest in the eighteenth “Operation Infinity” drug sweep round-up that began Jan. 22. The Sheriff’s Office teamed up with law enforcement partners from the Seneca, Walhalla and Westminster Police Departments in the operation. In all, 21 individuals were being sought on a variety of drug charges involving distribution of methamphetamine, marijuana, heroin, crack cocaine and prescription drugs. The latest arrest is that of 23-year-old Devon Samuel Prater of Townville for distribution of heroin. In addition, Prater was served with a Westminster Magistrate’s Bench Warrant. He was turned over to deputies from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office after being notified by the Seneca Police Department that officers arrested him. This additional arrest brings the total number arrested in the operation so far to seventeen. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation and due to that fact, the names of the other individuals being sought will not be released at this time.
