Additional Arrests in “Operation Infinity”

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announces additional arrests in the eighteenth “Operation Infinity” drug sweep round-up that began Monday morning. The Sheriff’s Office teamed up with law enforcement partners from the Seneca, Walhalla and Westminster Police Departments. In all, 21 individuals are being sought on a variety of drug charges involving distribution of methamphetamine, marijuana, heroin, crack cocaine and prescription drugs. The most recent arrests were 45-year-old Steven Ray Watkins of Walhalla for distribution of Crank and 36-year-old Benjamin Eric Ramey of Seneca for distribution of a controlled substance and distribution of Crank. These two additional arrests brings the total number arrested in the operation so far to twelve. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation and due to that fact, the names of the other individuals being sought will not be released at this time.
