Adopt a Pet online through OC Humane Society

Oconee County, like many rural counties in the United States has a pet overpopulation problem.  To lower the number of homeless pets, the Oconee Humane Society is using its website to match new owners to these pets, explains Oconee Humane Society board president Randy Vansterdamn. “It is all there and we are working on it continuously to try to update it.  However, all the animals available for adoption are on the website.  In addition, all of our programs are on the website.  We have a committee that maintains the website and we are getting some help from Clemson University to keep the website current and more appealing.  It has all the information that you need to come adopt an animal at the Oconee Humane Society.” Visit www.oconeehumane.org to see pets available for adoption and learn more about the Humane Society’s spay and neuter program. The Oconee Humane Society is located at 1925 Sandifer Boulevard in Seneca.  Hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
