Agenda released for Clemson City Council Meeting

On Monday, April 2, the Clemson City Council holds their regular monthly meeting. However, first will be the Rental Housing Suspension Hearing at 6:30pm, with the regular council meeting immediately following. On the agenda: the Clemson City Council will sign a proclamation declaring the 2018 Paint the Town Purple for Cancer Awareness Month. Receive a status report on the Abernathy Boardwalk Community Build project. Receive a status report on the construction of the pedestrian bridge project at 12 Mile Beach for the Corps of Engineers and a report on City preparations for the future response actions that will be implemented during Clemson University utility line installations on Highway 93 this summer. Review and discuss the proposed plans of the South Carolina Department of Transportation to install 4’ wide concrete median structures on Highway 93 to prevent turning actions at certain locations; construction would be concurrent with repaving in spring and summer of 2019. Discuss possible actions to improve traffic circulation and safety. Receive a status report on the installation of Proterra electric bus chargers at the CATbus garage, updates to the new battery-electric bus delivery schedule, and council discussion and decision on paint and graphic image for the new bus. Consider a renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Joseph F. Sullivan Center and City of Clemson for Specified Health Services; scheduled Access to Acute Care for one year period. The meeting is open to the public and takes place in Council Chambers of Clemson City Hall at 1250 Tiger Boulevard.
