Am Legion awards Co-Law Officers of Year

Two officers were honored Monday night during the annual Jake Robinson Law Enforcement Dinner hosted by the American Legion Post #120 in Seneca.  A Seneca Policeman and a State Trooper walked away as co-winners of the 2013 Law Officer of the Year, explains American Legion Post #120 Command Carlton Patterson. “We gave out the Law Enforcement Awards to our Law Officers of the Year to two fine officers; Lance Corporal Jason Stewart of the Highway Patrol and Staff Sergeant Robbie Johnson of the Seneca Police Department.  We honor all of our law enforcement officers of the county in appreciation for what they do keeping our county safe.  They put their lives on the line for us.  We just let them know that we appreciate them and have this very special meal for them every year.” As the 2013 Law Officers of the Year, Stewart and Johnson received large framed certificates. The featured speaker of the awards dinner was South Carolina Adjutant General Robert Livingston Jr., who is the only elected adjutant general in the United States.
