Anderson County Announces Closing Of Green Pond Landing For Fourth Phase Of Improvement
(Seneca, SC)———————Anderson County has announced that the Green Pond Landing and Event Center will be closed to the public beginning tomorrow and lasting through Thursday, October 31st.
The County also announced that the single lane ramp at Green Pond will remain open during this period.
During the closure, Anderson County will be constructing its fourth phase of improvements to Green Pond, which will include a launch ramp turnaround expansion, ADA truck/trailer parking improvements, the straightening of Perimeter Road and pour in place wall construction.
Funds from the Lake Hartwell PCB settlement will pay for the majority of the improvements.
Anderson County also announced that it will begin its fifth phase of improvements at Green Pond in January of next year. During that time, Anderson County Public Works will begin building an amphitheatre for fishing tournament weigh-ins. The launch ramps will remain open during this construction.
