Anderson County Council Votes for New Jail

Anderson County Council has voted to partner with Virginia based Moseley Architects for the construction of a new detention center. The current facility is the oldest in operation in the state – having been built in 1956. It was recently visited by Anderson County Council Member Glenn Davis, who said a new jail is long overdue…

The partnership with Mosley Architects, who also has offices in South Carolina, will allow contract negotiations and design plans on the $55 million project to move forward.
