Anderson County Farmers Market Wraps Up Commemoration Of National Farmers Market Week Tomorrow

(Seneca, SC)—The Anderson County Farmers Market is inviting everyone to come to the market tomorrow, Saturday, August 10th as it concludes its commemoration of National Farmers Market Week.

Besides fresh, local produce that will be sold, there will also be live music and prepared food along with fun games and activities.  The market plays hosts to approximately 30 farmers selling a wide variety of products.

According to stats supplied by the USDA, farmers markets and farm stands account for roughly $2 billion dollars of the $3 billion dollars that Americans spend annually on farm-direct products, which in turn, supports the livelihoods of more than 165,000 mostly small and mid-sized farms and ranches.

The Anderson County Farmers Market is located at 402 N. Murray Avenue in downtown Anderson and is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8am until 1pm through November 24th.
