Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Anderson Man on Charges RElated to Tuesday Shooting incident

(Seneca, SC)—The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has charged an Anderson man in relation to an investigation into a Tuesday shooting incident.

Deputies responded Tuesday evening to an address on Old Trail Road in regards to reports of a shooting.

After arriving on scene, deputies found one victim that had been shot in the upper leg, according to a press release. Medical care was rendered to the victim as a tourniquet was applied.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Based upon evidence gathered as a result of the investigation, deputies have charged Morris J. Wood, Jr. and accused him, according to an arrest warrant, with shooting at the victim multiple times and striking him in the thigh.

According to a press release issued by the Sheriff’s Office, Wood, Jr. has been charged with Attempted Murder.
