Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Seizes 63 Pounds Of Methamphetamine After Friday Traffic Stop Along I-85

(Seneca, SC)—————-The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest and charged a man with Trafficking in Methamphetamine after a traffic stop in Anderson County last Friday along I-85. 

A deputy working with the Criminal Interdiction Unit stopped a Chevrolet Suburban around 1:20pm near mile marker 11, which is near Highway 24, for a traffic offense. 

As the deputy approached the SUV, the driver and the passenger attempted to run from deputies. The passenger, Felipe Acedo Medina, was immediately detained, however, the driver was able to get away before additional units arrived. 

Deputies performed an inventory of the SUV and located a duffel bag full of 39 bundles wrapped in brown tape. The contents of the bundles field tested for Methamphetamine. 

The total weight of the Methamphetamine that was seized was 63 pounds. Acedo Medina has been charged with one count of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
