AT BEST, TWO SPOTS LEFT IN FAST-FILLING INDUSTRY PARK

A Minnesota company is expected to be ready to open an operation in March inside the Oconee Industry and Technology Park. Elsewhere, at that highway 11 park, the new school district career center remains on schedule for an August opening. These are highlights of a presentation to the planning commission, from Annie Caggiano, the director of the county Economic Alliance. In Caggiano’s estimation, the remaining available land for development in the Information and Technology Park might be only large enough to accommodate two additional tenants. Meantime, there’s plenty of room left in the empty Golden Corner Commerce Park at Fair Play, although there are indications that a solar farm operation may take over that park. Oconee County and the city of Seneca continue to partner in expanding an industry park off Shiloh Road, adjoining the Utica Community.
