Attack on potholes
A complaint delivered last week to the Oconee County Council was that you can call Oconee County “Pothole County.” But SCDOT is hitting the roads with a “Pothole Blitz,” a statewide effort to tackle potholes and make travel safer for everyone. Over the next several weeks, maintenance crews will be working extended hours to fill and repair potholes across the state. The fastest way to get potholes fixed is by reporting them. If you see a pothole, don’t just drive over it – report it! You can submit pothole locations easily by visiting the DOT website or calling the SCDOT Pothole Hotline at 1-855-GO-SCDOT (855-467-2368)
