“Aw, Rats! Not Again!” Rats Blamed for Another Garbage Truck Fail

The City of Seneca appears to have a rodent problem because, once again, it appears that a rat chewed through electrical wiring on one of the city’s garbage trucks, forcing the city to delay trash pick up for some customers and get the truck repaired.

Back in September, you’ll recall that rats were blamed for causing an electrical fire that destroyed and damaged some of the city’s sanitation trucks.

Seneca has temporarily acquired a replacement truck from Greenville and will rely on help from nearby Westminster and Walhalla the rest of this week. City trucks were far behind on their pickup schedule yesterday, and officials said it’ll be Friday before they are caught up.
