Bassmaster Classic Back on Lake Hartwell

The Bassmaster Classic is back on Lake Hartwell this week as rods, reels and tackle boxes are taken out for practice.

The event was last held in the Upstate four years ago, in 2018, when it generated an economic impact of nearly $24 million for Anderson County and the surrounding area. Anderson County officials said they anticipate an impact this week of around $30 million.

Anglers from all over the world will be on Lake Hartwell and in the area for the 2022 Bassmaster Classic, which begins on Fri. March 4 and runs thru Sun. March 6. Weigh-ins will be held at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville.
