Bats removed from Brooks Center Theaters

Bats have been removed from the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts at Clemson University. It will now reopen its theaters on April 27, reports the Clemson University Media Relations Department. A colony of bats was discovered roosting in a wall that separates the Brooks Theatre from the lobby on March 26. A wall was opened, the former roost was cleared out and the thorough cleaning and repair of the Brooks Theatre will soon be complete with a return to full operations much earlier than the anticipated date of May 15. On April 16-21, the Clemson Players will present “The Diviners” in the Brooks Courtyard at 7:30pm. For more information, visit www.clemson.edu.
