Blood Connection hosting Critical Blood Drive at Anderson Mall

Shoppers are invited to help save lives and provide support to the local community by donating blood at Anderson Mall. Unusually cold temperatures with widespread illness are affecting donor turn out and blood donations. Combined with historic snowfall along the coast, The Blood Connection (TBC) is urging donors to give blood as soon as possible to ensure hospital needs are uninterrupted. This includes neighboring communities that aren’t able to collect blood donations right now, across the state and state lines. Donors will receive a pair of movie tickets at TBC points for their donation. TBC is requesting whole blood and platelet donations. All blood types are needed. Donors can also find a local blood drive by visiting www.donate.thebloodconnection.org/donor/schedules/geo. The blood drive at Anderson Mall near Belk take place Monday through Friday, through Jan. 31, from 2-7pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, through Jan. 31, from noon to 5pm.
