Blue Ridge Electric restores Power to Upstate

Shortly before 7pm Monday evening, Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative restored power for all known storm-related outages on the system. On Sunday, Tropical Storm Nate produced heavy rains that caused several outages. On Monday afternoon, Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative had 82 members without power, all in Pickens County. Of those, 62 were situated along Robinson Bridge Road near the Town of Norris. At that location, the storm broke 14 of the cooperative’s poles and that level of damage prolonged power restoration there. To report an outage to Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative, call 1-888-BLUERIDGE.
