Blue Ridge Fest Today in Pickens

One of the premier charity events in Upstate South Carolina takes place today, May 4. Blue Ridge Fest combines great entertainment and a classic car cruise-in along with good food, tells Terry Ballenger, Vice President of Communications at Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative. “We have some great entertainment this year with Magic, Jim Quick and Coastline and The Spinners. This annual fundraiser has donated nearly $2.5 million throughout its first 20 years to Upstate charities located in our four-county service area. Blue Ridge Fest is an all-employee event in order to allow all proceeds go to Upstate charities, therefore, we do not utilize any outside vendors.” Admission is $25 for adults, $15 for children and free for kids under six years of age. There are plenty of chairs where the entertainers will be performing, therefore no folding chairs are allowed in the concert area. Also, no coolers and no pets are allowed in the concert area. Blue Ridge Fest is today, May 4, from 5:30-10pm at Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative, which is located at 734 West Main Street in downtown Pickens.
