Blue Ridge Field Shooting Suspect in Custody

Acting on a tip, investigators with the Seneca Police Department were alerted by authorities in Calhoun County, Alabama that Israel Glenn of Seneca, wanted for the shooting of two people at Blue Ridge Field on April 18, 2017, might possibly be in their jurisdiction attempting to evade arrest. The information proved to be correct and Glenn was taken into custody pursuant to a traffic stop early Monday morning without incident. Glenn remains in custody in Alabama as the Seneca Police Department works through the extradition process to bring him back to South Carolina to face the charges that stemmed from this incident. On April 20, investigators with the Seneca Police Department were able to obtain arrest warrants against Glenn in connection with the shooting incident at Blue Ridge Field in Seneca. The warrants charge Glenn with one count of assault and battery in the first degree and two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm. Investigators received several tips from the community that led them to Glenn. Police were also able to utilize camera systems that were put in place at Blue Ridge Field after a vandalism incident earlier this month.
