Bobcats begin Region Play Tonight

A new season starts tonight for the Seneca Bobcats as they begin region play in varsity football. Seneca High School Varsity Football Head Coach Hal Capps is excited to play games that will decide who makes the playoffs. “First thing, Amen, I’m glad it is over with. It has been tough of our kids, on our fans, on the coaches and everybody. We played outstanding competition and played extremely well at times. We were able to win one of those games against a AAAA school, so it was not all bad. We have to take our lumps and learn lessons and get better. So, now we go into region play and everything sort of evens back up a little bit. Everybody has basically the same enrollment, same number of players and about the same size kids and stuff. So, it all works out in the end and we are happy to go ahead and get region play started.” The next five games are the most important for the Bobcats, adds Coach Capps. “We go into region play and we are 0-0 just like everybody else. So, three teams are going to come out tonight after the ball game and they are going to be winning the region; there are going to be three teams that are winning and three teams that are loosing the region. So, we want to make sure we’re one of those top three.” Kickoff of the Seneca Bobcats at the Liberty Red Devils is tonight at 7:30pm.
