Boil Water Advisory Near Fair Play

Pioneer Rural Water District advises residents of the Fair Play area south of Interstate I-85—specifically those on Herring Road, Shore Drive, Durham Road, Fair Play Heights, Tugaloo Heights Circle, Gates Cove Drive, Watersedge Drive, Overlook Drive, East Watersedge Drive, Tugaloo Drive, Heights Drive, and Riverlake Road in Anderson County, South Carolina—to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking. Due to a water main break near or at these locations, the district has isolated the break, shut off water service to facilitate rapid repairs, and issued this precautionary boil water advisory that will remain in effect until further notice.

The advisory will be lifted only after laboratory bacteriological analysis confirms the water is safe; residents are also advised not to use ice made from unboiled water for drinking purposes. Pioneer Rural Water District is actively repairing the broken main and anticipates restoring normal operations shortly, with updates to be posted on the district’s website once bacteriological sample results are received and analyzed.
