Bomb Found in Parking Lot; Investigation Ongoing

Stephens County deputies, Georgia State Patrol troopers and the GBI are investigating after an improvised explosive device (IED) was found during a traffic stop Friday night in a parking lot shared by Ingles and Belk. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Bomb Disposal Unit secured and safely detonated the device around midnight. One person, identified as Sarah Hill, was taken into custody.
