Bond Denied For Man Charged In July Fatal Hit And Run Accident
(Seneca, SC)——A bond hearing was held yesterday for the man who has been charged in the death of woman who was asleep in her bed in a home just off of Highway 123 in early July.
According to Lindsay Simmons with the Tenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office, the judge denied bond for El Asia Muhammad at this time pending a mental evaluation.
Muhammad, according to Assistant Solicitor Simmons, has been charged with Leaving the Scene with Death and Hit and Run with Death in an incident that occurred Monday evening, July 1st.
The vehicle that Muhammad was operating crashed through the basement of a home and landed on top of the victim, identified by Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis as Vanessa Leanne Neimeyer.
