Bond Hearings held for Hit and Run Suspects

Days after an 11-year-old girl was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Seneca, two people have been arrested in connection to the deadly crash, reports Lance Corporal Joe Hovis, Community Relations Officer for Troop 3 of the South Carolina Highway Patrol. “Well, right now two arrests have been made in regards to this collision. The driver of the vehicle was John Melvin Miller, Jr., 19, of Seneca and he was charged with felony leaving the scene with death. The registered owner of the vehicle was Jima Leigh Schuch, 35, of Seneca and she was charged with accessory to a felony after the fact.” Around 9:30pm Saturday, 11-year-old Emmalee Budrevich was struck and killed while walking with friends to a store on Wells Highway from her home. Bond hearings have been held for these two individuals. Miller was denied bond and Schuch was given a $25,000 surety bond. Both are still being held at the Oconee County Detention Center. Services for Budrevich are scheduled for Thursday at Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home in Seneca.
