Bond set for Former Walhalla Police Chief

On Friday, Circuit Judge Clifton Newman set a $25,000 personal recognizance bond against former Walhalla Police Chief Ronald Wilbanks. The judge stated that the bond also carries the condition of house arrest and GPS monitoring. Wilbanks must also have no contact with any of the witnesses in the case. No trial date was set on the charges of misconduct in office during the hearing in the Kershaw County Courthouse. This was simply a bond hearing, so there was no arraignment or entering of a plea.
