Boo with the Blue Tonight at OC Sheriff’s Office

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a safe and fun opportunity for children tonight with the first Boo with the Blue event, explains Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt. “The event will be held Halloween night, Oct. 31, 2018, from 6-8pm at the Sheriff’s Office parking lot, which is in front of the Law Enforcement Center at 300 South Church Street in Walhalla. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office will be giving away candy for trick-or-treaters in vehicles that drive through this area with some deputies wearing various friendly costume heads. Also, the Sheriff’s Office parking lot will be decorated with blue lights as well. The Sheriff’s Office wants to create a fun event for families on Halloween where children and parents can feel safe. We are always thinking of ways that law enforcement can build a positive relationship with our youth and this is a great opportunity.” Boo with the Blue is free to attend, but children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
