Braves lose third straight

The Atlanta Braves gained some optimism when they won three of the first four games of their current 10-game road trip. But that optimism seemed like a distant memory by the time Kris Medlen surrendered three home runs and a suddenly dormant offense fell victim to Tim Lincecum in Sunday afternoon’s 5-1 loss to the Giants.
