Budget Passed First Reading At Seneca City Council “In Title Only”

Revenue and expense numbers projected for a new year of Seneca government are ready for a final vote, as well as the annual hearing in which the public may comment. The second and final reading, along with public comments, will be heard at the next city council meeting on June 14th.

During the meeting held last night, on first reading, it appeared that all questions and concerns had been satisfied. The numbers that add up to $58.5 million are unchanged since city administration earlier this month presented them.

Also during last night’s meeting the mayor and council approved several items on their agenda on first reading, including the budget, “In Title Only”. Seneca’s Administrator Scott Moulder explained what that means…
