Bypass 123 to be patched in Seneca

The South Carolina Department of Transportation announces that full-depth patching, crack sealing, and micro-surfacing are scheduled for a 2.5 mile stretch of Bypass 123 in Seneca. Micro-surfacing is when a thin layer of asphalt binder and crushed aggregate is spread across the road in order to properly seal the road. The intention of this type of project is usually to extend the life of the road by 5-10 years before eventually resurfacing in a more conventional manner.
