Car Burglar facing more charges in PC

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office announces more charges against a man arrested on Dec. 8, for the break-in of several cars. Arrested after a traffic stop on Friday, 37-year-old Luke Elliot Lister was initially charged with eight counts of auto breaking and entering, six counts of petit larceny, and unlawful possession of a handgun. He has now been charged with eight more. Lister is suspected of breaking into 18 different vehicles between Nov. 21, and Dec. 8. The first charges stem from break-ins on Powder Mill Road and Smith Memorial Highway. The additional charges are from car break-ins on Browning Road, Briarcliff Road, and Bluebird Lane on Dec. 5, and car break-ins on Clear Dawn Drive and Doberman Trail on Dec. 8. Those new charges are eight counts of auto breaking and entering and five counts of petit larceny.
