Carson LeCroy Named Hamilton Career & Technology Center Director

At its regularly scheduled board meeting held on June 7, 2021, the School District of Oconee County Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Mr. Carson LeCroy as the director of Hamilton Career & Technology Center. 

Mr. LeCroy, a Seneca High School alum, joined the faculty of Seneca High School in 2014 as a science teacher before moving to the role of assistant principal in 2018. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Clemson University. Carson and his wife Sarah live in Seneca with their two children, Isaac and Abigail.

Mr. LeCroy said, “It is an incredible honor to be chosen as the new Director of HCTC.  I know firsthand from my time as a student at HCTC how significant an impact this school plays in the lives of our students and our county.  I am excited and eager to get to work alongside an incredible group of educators to provide tremendous opportunities for our students.”

Superintendent, Dr. Michael Thorsland said, “The Hamilton Career & Technology Center plays an important role in our county and in our students’ educational journey.  We are thrilled to have Carson, someone who grew up in Oconee County and graduated from our schools, to lead our district’s CATE (Career & Technical Education) Program.  Carson has demonstrated strong leadership throughout his years in Oconee County and I have 100% confidence that he will do a great job in this new role.”
