Pickens County Emergency Services, Pickens County Hazmat and the Easley Fire Department responded Friday afternoon around 4:00pm to a chemical plant in Easley. Officials said a one of Ortec’s Gentry Memorial Highway buildings had caught fire. There were no injuries, nor were there any chemicals released or any environmental threats, according to investigators.
