Walhalla Woman arrested on Drug and Weapon Charges

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Walhalla woman Sunday on a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine, third or subsequent offense and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. United States Attorney Beth Drake announces that on May 2, 44-year-old April Cormelius Miller of Seattle, Washington, was sentenced by District Court Judge Timothy M. Cain sitting in Anderson. Fire destroys Walhalla Home

A fire destroyed a small home near Walhalla Sunday afternoon. The Walhalla Fire Department reports that no one was injured in the blaze that occurred on Orr Circle near Fowler Road. The small building used for a residency was burned and is now considered unlivable.
