SCDOT reports Bridge Deck Failure on I-85

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) closed the inside southbound lane of the bridge over Lake Hartwell at mile marker 14.2; also known as Three and Twenty Creek, as the result of a bridge deck failure. The SCDOT has ordered expedited repair work, weather permitting. But, until exploratory demolition work is accomplished, no time frame is given.
