MLK Day Volunteer Opportunity

The Friends of Jocassee announce a volunteer opportunity on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 15. They will be wood duck boxes at Devil’s Fork State Park. Those interested in participating should wear appropriate clothing and meet at the park office for assignments at 11am. If there is inclement weather, the date will be rescheduled.

Nearly 2,000 customers of Duke Energy were without power for an hour and a half Thursday near Walhalla.
