Officials of South Carolina Department of Natural Resources have confirmed that 40 thousand fish died recently, apparently due to low oxygen levels, at the Walhalla Fish Hatchery off highway 107. ZONING VARIANCE REQUESTED TONIGHT

A variance is requested tonight to the Oconee County zoning law. At 6 o’clock, the county Board of Zoning Appeals will convene to hear a request to vary from the setback rules for an expansion of J-Davis Construction Company on highway 11.
